The role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grant Officer to join our team at Matrix Academy Trust. The main purpose of the role is to research and identify funding opportunities, coordinating the development, submission and tracking of grants.

Main responsibilities of the role will include ensuring documentation is complete, accurate and complies with guidelines and grant terms. The Grant Officer will be accountable to the Head of Management Accounts and will work closely with the Finance Director, CFOO, CEO, Headteachers, Central Support Team and school leadership teams. They will also be required to liaise and work closely with external bodies including DfE, ESFA, and other legislative bodies.

About you

To be considered for interview, required skills and experience include:

  • Having a strong understanding of accounting processes and procedures;
  • Previous experience working within a finance department;
  • Knowledge of using Accounting Systems;
  • Ability to confidently handle queries and challenges.
