As Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini said

“A different language is a different vision of life.”

There has never been a more important time for our pupils to have an international outlook. At a time when the world is looking increasingly insular, we want our pupils looking outward. It is why we pride ourselves on the quality of other language provision and experiences, including expeditions and exchanges.

It’s also why we want to expand our team of modern foreign language teachers. With more pupils than ever before taking French, we want someone to join us who will give pupils the best possible experience of this fascinating subject.

Whatever you level of experience in the classroom, it’s your passion for your subject that counts. We prize love of learning above all else.

We want the best for every child regardless of where they were born, how much money they do or don’t have and who they are (gender, sex, race, religion, disability, sexual orientation). If you share our relentless drive for school improvement and our trust vision of “Education without Exception” we would love to hear from you.

We want people who are similarly driven. We want people who will not only grow the next generation but people who are also eager to take every opportunity to grow themselves. We offer superb professional development opportunities, including the full suite of NPQs as well as a comprehensive induction programme.

We are excited to welcome applications from potential colleagues.

Education Without Exeption

Our Trust vision is simple: every child deserves an exceptional education. We believe that an exceptional education is one which opens doors for our pupils in the future. Studying a foreign language is key for keeping as many doors open as possible.

We know that developing pupils’ international outlook and cultural capital are vital for us to secure the best possible future for every child. We therefore place great importance on the study of a foreign language to GCSE for all children within our Trust.

Studying a foreign language provides an insight into other cultures and can open the door to travel and employment opportunities. They can also broaden pupils’ horizons, helping them flourish in new environments. Our wider curriculum offer includes chances for pupils to experience life in other countries, including tailoring support to overcome individual barriers to travel, such as cost; we always apply for Turing funding to give pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds opportunities they may not otherwise have.

We also know that employers value languages, as they are increasingly important to make sure the UK can compete in the global market. We want all children, but especially those in the most disadvantaged communities served by our Trust, to have the best possible employability options.
