Teacher of Geography
Salary: MPS (upper scale where required) (ECTs Welcome)
Full Time | Start Date: January 2025
Bloxwich Academy Secondary | Teaching Roles
Start Date: January 2025
We want a geography geek. We want someone who really loves their subject. If you’re still reading this, we want you!
Whether you are at the start of your career or you have been teaching geography for decades, it’s love of learning which counts above all else.
‘Geek’ isn’t a negative word as far as we’re concerned. Join a school where we give teachers time to plan the curriculum together, bringing their nerdiness (also not a bad word to us) to bear on deciding WHAT to teach. Whatever topics you’re teaching, you can’t inspire the next generation of geographers if you come across as disinterested. That’s why we also support teachers in using their creativity. Feel free to use the resources we have already, but we’re definitely not the sort of school where you’ll will ever be made to click through prescribed PowerPoints!
Even if you’ve only been teaching geography for a short while, if you’re eager for career development in the near future, we will ensure you get what you need, whether that be the right qualifications or the right experiences.
